Today, drawing123.com will guide you how to easily draw a bow with simple steps.
Let’s get started!

Step 1: Starting Circle
To begin, draw a small, smooth circle in the center of your page to serve as the knot of the bow.

Step 2: Drawing the Left Loop
Next, on the left side of the circle, draw a large, curved loop shape. It should attach to the central circle at two points.

Step 3: Creating the Right Loop
Draw a second loop on the right side of the central circle, making it a mirrored version of the first loop and also connecting it to the circle. This completes the basic bow tie shape.

Step 4: Drawing the Left Ribbon Tail
From the bottom of the central knot circle, draw a forked tail section descending to the left, like a wide inverted “V” with a wavy edge.

Step 5: Completing the Right Ribbon Tail
Draw a matching forked tail section on the bottom right side of the central knot, mirrored to the left one, completing the two hanging tails.

Step 6: Adding Detail Lines
Add detail to the loops by drawing several curved lines from the knot outwards, to represent the fabric folds. Add similar fold lines from the knot onto the ribbon tails.

Step 7: Applying Color and Shading
Now it’s time to color. The entire bow and tails are colored in a vibrant, uniform red hue. The fold detail lines from Step 6 are now defined as slightly darker red lines. The central knot gets a darker red, curved highlight at the bottom. The inside lower edges of the loops are shadowed with a darker shade of red, and there are lighter pink highlights on the top surfaces of the loops.

Step 1: Draw the Left Loop Outline
Start by drawing a rounded, somewhat heart-shaped or teardrop-like outline on the left side of your canvas. This will form the left loop of the bow.

Step 2: Add the Right Loop Outline
Create a symmetrical, mirrored outline on the right side of the canvas. This completes the basic outer shapes for both the left and right loops of the bow.

Step 3: Define the Central Knot
In the space between the two loop outlines, draw a small, upright rounded rectangle or oval. This will serve as the central knot that holds the bow together.

Step 4: Draw the Left Ribbon Tail
From the bottom of the central knot, draw a flowing, stylized tail that extends downwards and to the left. The bottom of this tail should be pointed with a small, inverted ‘V’ shape.

Step 5: Add the Right Ribbon Tail
Draw a second, matching flowing tail extending downwards and to the right from the central knot. Make sure it is symmetrical to the left tail, also finishing with a pointed, inverted ‘V’ shape.

Step 6: Insert Folds in the Left Loop
Add details to the left loop by drawing curved lines from the knot. One main curve forms the fold line, and a smaller, hook-like line near the knot adds more dimension to the fabric.

Step 7: Mirror Folds in the Right Loop
Add similar symmetrical curved lines to the right loop, starting from the central knot. These lines create the inner fold and fabric texture for the right side of the bow.

Step 8: Finalize Knot Details
Finish the line work by adding short, curved detail lines within the central knot itself to show gathering. Also, add the final connecting lines at the base of the loops where they meet the knot and tails.

Step 9: Apply Final Color and Shading
In this final step, color the entire bow and tails in a rich red hue. Use a gradient of lighter red and white highlights on the outer edges and central knot to create a shiny, silk-like material. Use darker shades of red for the shadows and inner folds to give the bow a full, dimensional look.

Step 1: Draw the Center Knot
Start by drawing a small, rounded rectangular shape in the center to represent the central knot of the bow.

Step 2: Add the Left Loop
Draw a large, rounded loop extending out to the left side of the center knot. Inside this main loop, add an inner curved line to give depth to the ribbon.

Step 3: Add the Right Loop
Draw a matching loop on the right side of the knot, complete with its inner curved line to mirror the left side.

Step 4: Draw the Back Horizontal Ribbon
Add two straight horizontal rectangles extending outward from behind each loop, representing the back piece of the ribbon.

Step 5: Draw the Left Hanging Ribbon Tail
From the bottom of the center knot, draw a wide ribbon tail slanting down toward the left.

Step 6: Draw the Right Hanging Ribbon Tail
Draw a symmetrical ribbon tail slanting down toward the right from the center knot.

Step 7: Refine the Ends and Add Fold Lines
Cut inverted V-shapes into the bottom ends of both ribbon tails to create decorative points. Then, draw small curved fold lines near the knot on both the upper loops and lower tails to indicate fabric folds.

Step 8: Color the Ribbon
Color the entire bow in vibrant red. Apply a slightly darker shade of red or subtle shading inside the inner loops and along the fold lines to give the bow a realistic three-dimensional appearance.

Step 1: Draw the Left Outer Loop
Begin by drawing a large, rounded, triangular-like outline on the left side that tapers inward towards the center, forming the outer shape of the left loop.

Step 2: Draw the Right Outer Loop
Mirror the first shape on the right side by drawing a matching rounded outline for the right loop, leaving a small gap in the middle.

Step 3: Draw the Center Knot
Connect the two loops by drawing an oval knot in the central gap, complete with two subtle vertical curved lines inside it to show texture.

Step 4: Add the Left Hanging Ribbon Tail
From underneath the left loop and center knot, draw a wide ribbon tail extending downward with a sharp V-shaped cutout notch at the bottom end.

Step 5: Add the Right Hanging Ribbon Tail
Draw the matching right ribbon tail extending downward from behind the center knot and right loop, also featuring a notched V-shaped bottom.

Step 6: Add Inner Crease Lines for Depth
Draw a smooth, upward-curving line along the bottom inside of both loops to define the inner fold and give the ribbon a 3D hollow appearance.

Step 7: Draw Crease Lines Near the Knot
Add three small, radiating crease lines on each loop extending outward from the center knot to represent gathered fabric folds.

Step 8: Add Diagonal Stripes Pattern
Draw evenly spaced diagonal parallel lines across both loops and ribbon tails to create a striped pattern on the fabric.

Step 9: Color the Bow
Fill the main body of the bow with a vibrant red, leaving the diagonal stripes white. Add soft dark red shading near the center knot, along the inner folds, and around the edges to create depth and dimension.

Step 1: Draw the Left Ribbon Tail Outline
Draw the outline of the left ribbon tail pointing downwards, featuring a sharp inverted V-notch at the bottom end.

Step 2: Draw the Right Ribbon Tail Outline
Mirror the first shape on the right side to create the outline for the right ribbon tail, keeping the top points of both tails close to each other.

Step 3: Draw the Center Knot
Draw a rounded square shape right above the upper ends of the two ribbon tails to form the central knot of the bow.

Step 4: Add the Left Loop
Draw the large, rounded loop on the left side, connecting it smoothly to the center knot and overlapping slightly with the top of the left tail.

Step 5: Add the Right Loop
Draw a symmetrical rounded loop on the right side, connecting it back to the central knot and completing the main structure of the bow.

Step 6: Add the Inner Crease Lines
Draw a pair of short curved accent lines extending outward from both the left and right sides of the center knot, as well as a pair extending downward onto the ribbon tails.

Step 7: Add Additional Accent Lines
Add a second set of small curved accent lines adjacent to the previous ones to create depth and texture around the center knot.

Step 8: Color the Bow
Fill in each section of the bow with vibrant colors as follows:
– Center Knot: Solid Purple.
– Main Loops: Bright Pink.
– Inner Loop Fold Folds: Yellow.
– Ribbon Tails: Medium Blue.
– Accent Lines/Folds: Teal Green.

Step 1: Draw the Center Knot
Start by drawing a small diamond shape with rounded corners in the middle to represent the center knot of the bow.

Step 2: Draw the Left Loop
Extend a large, rounded, triangular loop outward from the left side of the center knot.

Step 3: Draw the Right Loop
Mirror the first loop by drawing an identical rounded triangular loop extending outward to the right.

Step 4: Draw the Left Ribbon Tail
Below the left side of the bow, draw a flowing ribbon tail that curves downwards and ends in a sharp V-shaped cut.

Step 5: Draw the Right Ribbon Tail
On the opposite side, draw the right ribbon tail curving downwards with a matching V-shaped cutout at the bottom.

Step 6: Add Details to the Left Loop
Inside the left loop, draw a curved inner fold line along with a short accent crease line near the top corner to give the ribbon depth.

Step 7: Add Details to the Right Loop
Mirror the inner fold and top crease line inside the right loop to complete the overall outline.

Step 8: Color the Bow
Fill in the entire bow using the following colors:
– Main Ribbon & Knot: Vibrant red base with darker red gradient shading around the edges and folds to create depth.
– Highlights: Soft white or light red highlight streaks along the top curved edges of the loops, knot, and tails to give it a smooth, glossy finish.

Hopefully, this drawing tutorial on Bow will help you easily create a nice drawing.
