Today, drawing123.com will guide you how to easily draw characters from Poppy Playtime with simple steps.
Let’s get started!
Step 1: Start the Head Shape
Draw a large, rounded, trapezoidal shape for the outer frame of the head. Inside this shape, draw a slightly smaller, similarly shaped inner line to form the display screen area.
Step 2: Add Head Details
Draw two small curved lines on the top center of the head, connecting the inner and outer frame lines. Add two small curved shapes on the sides of the head for the ears/speakers.
Step 3: Draw the Eyes
Inside the display screen area, draw the eyes. The left eye is a simple vertical oval shape. The right eye is a curved, slightly pointed shape, giving it a winking appearance.
Step 4: Begin the Neck
Draw two small, short vertical lines extending down from the bottom center of the head/screen frame to start the neck.
Step 5: Draw the Torso
Draw a large, geometric, T-shaped outline for the main body/torso, connecting it to the neck lines.
Step 6: Detail the Torso
Inside the torso outline, draw straight horizontal and vertical lines to create separate armor/panel sections. Draw a small circle on the upper-center chest.
Step 7: Add Shoulder Joints
On the sides of the upper torso, draw two small, rounded, geometric shapes for the shoulder joints where the arms will connect.
Step 8: Draw the Arms and Claws
Draw thin arm connectors extending from the shoulder joints. At the end of the arm connectors, draw the large, rounded claw hands. Each claw hand has two curved, pointed prongs at the bottom.
Step 9: Detail the Forearms
Add a single diagonal line across the top of each claw hand (forearm section) for detail.
Step 10: Draw the Legs
Draw the two large, curved leg shapes extending downwards from the bottom of the torso. These should resemble chunky, segmented legs.
Step 11: Add Tread Details to Legs
On each leg, draw three horizontal lines across the wider section of the leg to create the tread pattern for the tank-like tracks.
Step 12: Color Your Boogie Bot
To color your Boogie Bot, use bright green for the head frame, ear shapes, shoulders, arms, claws, and legs, while applying darker green to the head details, torso panels, and forearm lines. Fill the display screen and claw tips black, and also use black for the leg treads. Color the eyes yellow, keep the chest circle white, and match the torso base with the same bright green as the head frame.
Step 1: Draw the Head
Draw a large, rounded shape for the head. Add a small, wavy or puffy shape on top for a tuft of hair/fur.
Step 2: Add the Party Hat
Draw a cone shape on top of the head for the party hat. Add a few angled lines inside the cone for detail. Draw a clumped, cloud-like shape on the very tip of the cone for the pom-pom.
Step 3: Draw Suspender Base
Draw two short, vertical lines extending down from the head. At the bottom of these lines, draw two small double circles side-by-side. These will serve as the buttons/base for the suspenders.
Step 4: Connect the Suspenders
Draw two short, straight vertical lines extending down from the buttons/circles. These form the start of the lower torso/short area.
Step 5: Draw the Shorts/Lower Torso
Draw a rounded, almost heart-shaped line connecting the bottom of the vertical lines to form the shorts. This line should have a small dip in the center for the crotch area.
Step 6: Start the Arms
Draw two short, angled lines extending outwards from the sides of the shorts (where the torso would be) to start the arms. Also, draw two short, angled lines connecting the shorts to the torso outline you made in Step 4.
Step 7: Draw the Cymbals
Draw two large, oval shapes on either side of the body for the cymbals. Inside each large oval, draw a slightly smaller inner oval to represent the center handle or hole.
Step 8: Draw the Long Ears
Draw two long, curved lines extending high above the head and down the sides. These form the long, floppy bunny ears.
Step 9: Detail the Bottom of the Shorts
Draw a short, wavy or scalloped line along the bottom edge of the shorts to give them a frilly or ruffled appearance.
Step 10: Draw the Legs and Feet
Draw two long, vertical leg shapes extending down from the shorts. At the bottom of the legs, draw large, rounded shapes for the feet, indicating three small toes on each foot.
Step 11: Add Facial Features
Create two circles for the whites of the eyes. Inside each, draw a smaller circle for the pupils. Draw two small triangular shapes above each eye. Draw two large circles on either side of the lower face. Sketch a wide, curved line connecting the cheek circles, and add two square-shaped buck teeth below the curve. Draw a small, rounded line above the mouth, connecting the cheeks.
Step 12: Color Your Bunzo Bunny
Color the bunny’s fur (head, ears, arms, legs, feet) a bright yellow. Color the shorts and suspenders a medium green. The small circles/buttons on the shorts should be a darker shade of green or black. Color the party hat alternating stripes of green and darker green. The pom-pom on top should be green. Color the large cymbals a bright orange (or dark yellow/gold). Fill the cheek circles with orange. Color the eyes black (pupils) and leave the whites uncolored. The triangular markings above the eyes can be black or a darker yellow/orange. Leave the buck teeth white.
Step 1: Draw the Head
Start by drawing a simple circle for the head.
Step 2: Draw the Neck
Draw two short, straight vertical lines extending down from the bottom of the circle to form the neck.
Step 3: Draw the Left Arm (Waving)
Draw the left arm (on the right side of the image) extending outwards and bent upwards, ending in a hand with four small, wavy finger-like bumps to represent the doughy texture. This arm should look like it’s waving.
Step 4: Draw the Right Arm
Draw the right arm (on the left side of the image) extending outwards and downwards. This arm should be thick and end in a hand with a similar wavy texture for the fingers.
Step 5: Draw the Torso
Draw two large, outwardly curved lines extending from the shoulders/base of the neck down to form the main, round, doughy body/torso.
Step 6: Draw the Legs
Draw two short, wide leg shapes at the bottom of the torso. These should have a slight dip in the center where they meet.
Step 7: Add the Hat
Draw a small, simple rounded shape on top of the head for his little hat or beret.
Step 8: Draw the Face
Draw a very large, open U-shaped smile/mouth across the lower half of the face. Above the mouth, draw two small, arched lines to represent the happy, squinted eyes.
Step 9: Add the Color Patches
Draw several large, wavy, irregular shapes inside the body and arms. These lines outline the different colored “dough” patches that make up Doey’s body.
Step 10: Color Your Doey the Doughman
Color the main body (background), including the face, a bright light blue. Color the hat a darker blue, and the legs/bottom section of the body a dark red or maroon. Fill the different dough patches you outlined in Step 9 with various colors, such as yellow, orange, and dark red. Fill the open mouth area with a dark color like black or a very dark blue.
Step 1: Start the Mouth
Begin by drawing a large, curved, bean-like shape for the inner outline of Huggy Wuggy’s open mouth/face. The top should have a slight dip in the center.
Step 2: Define the Lips/Muzzle
Add a small inner line that follows the top curve of the mouth. from Step 1. This creates the fleshy muzzle/lips.
Step 3: Add the Teeth
Inside the mouth, along the bottom curve, draw a row of sharp, zigzagging lines to form the menacing teeth.
Step 4: Draw the Head/Fur Outline
Draw a large, jagged, fur-like outline around the mouth structure. The shape should be wide and rounded at the bottom, coming to sharp points at the top sides.
Step 5: Draw the Eyes
Draw two large circles above the mouth for the eyes. Inside each, draw a smaller circle for the pupils.
Step 6: Draw the Bow Tie
Beneath the head, draw a simple bow shape for the necktie/bow tie.
Step 7: Add the Seams
Draw a vertical line running down the center of the head, connecting the top of the head to the bow tie. Add small horizontal tick marks along this line to represent stitching or seams. Draw a short, vertical seam line running down the center of the bow tie with tick marks.
Step 8: Start the Torso
Draw two short, vertical side lines extending down from the bow tie for the upper torso. Add a small curved line connecting the bottom of these lines.
Step 9: Draw the Legs
From the bottom of the torso, draw the long, slightly wavy leg outlines. Huggy Wuggy’s legs should be wide at the bottom near the feet. The lines should separate at the bottom to form the legs.
Step 10: Finish the Feet
Complete the legs by adding the rounded bottom of the feet. Draw two or three small toe divisions on the front of each foot.
Step 11: Draw the Arms
Draw the long, thick arm outlines extending down from the upper torso. The lines should be slightly curved. The end of the arms near the hand should have a wavy/spiky outline to match the fur texture.
Step 12: Add the Hands
Draw the rounded, mitt-like hands at the end of the arms. These should look like clenched fists, matching the furry style.
Step 13: Color Your Huggy Wuggy
Color the entire body (head, fur, torso, legs, and feet outlines) a deep blue. Color the muzzle/lips area red, the claws/toes and the hands a vibrant yellow. Color the eyes entirely black, the teeth white, and the bow tie a lighter blue than the body. The seam/stitching lines on the head and body can be a thin black or a very dark blue.
Step 1: Draw the Heart
Start by drawing a simple heart shape. This will be the little patch on her chest/cheek.
Step 2: Draw the Head and Fur
Draw a large, rounded shape for the head, starting near the heart. The outline should be wavy/spiky along the top to represent fur.
Step 3: Draw the Bow Tie
Beneath the head, draw a ribbon or bow tie shape for the neck.
Step 4: Start the Torso
Draw two short, curved lines extending down from the bow tie to begin the torso.
Step 5: Draw the Upper Torso/Fur
Draw a wavy, bell-like shape to form the upper body/torso, connecting the lines from Step 4. This area is covered in fur.
Step 6: Draw the Arms
Draw the wavy, furry arms extending down from the sides of the head/torso area.
Step 7: Add the Hands
Draw the clenched hands/mitts at the bottom of the arms.
Step 8: Draw the Legs
Draw the two long, straight leg shapes extending down from the torso fur. The bottom edge of the fur connecting to the legs should be jagged/spiky.
Step 9: Detail the Feet/Claws
Draw the final lines for the feet, defining the bottom edge and adding two or three small toes/claws on the front of each foot.
Step 10: Add Head Seam
Draw a vertical seam line running down the center of the head with small horizontal tick marks for stitching. Draw a small heart shape right on the seam line near the top of the head.
Step 11: Add Facial Features
Draw two large circles for the eyes with inner circles for pupils. Draw long, curved eyelashes above the eyes, and a wide, curved smile/muzzle below the eyes.
Step 12: Color Your Kissy Missy
Color the entire body a bright pink. Color the muzzle/lips area red. Color the large heart patch (cheek heart) red. Color the bow tie a light blue-green. Color the hands and feet/claws a vibrant yellow. The eyes should be black with white highlights.
Step 1: Draw the Head Base
Start by drawing a simple circle for the head.
Step 2: Add the Hair Swirl
Draw a curved line over the top of the circle for the hairline and add a large swirl on the top right side for her coiled bun or ponytail.
Step 3: Draw the Left Hair Tendrils
On the left side of the head, draw several long, wavy, and intertwining lines that curl down. These form her characteristic long hair/tendrils.
Step 4: Add the Neck Piece
Draw a small, downward-curving line beneath the head for the base of the neck or the start of the neck frill.
Step 5: Draw the Collar Frill
Draw a small oval-like shape with a wavy line inside beneath the head, connecting to the neck piece, to represent the ruffled collar or frill around her neck.
Step 6: Add the Body Base
Draw a larger circle directly below the collar frill to form the main body shape. The collar should sit on top of this circle.
Step 7: Draw the Arms and Hands
Draw two long, thin, tube-like lines extending from the body for her arms. Add square-shaped hands with fingers and a cuff at each wrist.
Step 8: Draw the Legs and Feet
Draw two more long, thin, tube-like lines extending from the lower body for her legs, positioning them in a running or lunging pose. Add simple rounded feet/shoes with a cuff at each ankle.
Step 9: Add the Face Details
Inside the head, draw two large circles for the eyes. Inside those, draw smaller, concentric circles for the pupils and an extra detail around the eyes to give them their characteristic large, doll-like appearance. Finally, draw a small smiling mouth with lips.
Step 10: Color the Drawing
The last step is to color your drawing. Use pink for her body, arms, and legs (lighter pink for the face and neck/arm details), a darker pink/magenta for her hair, and a light blue for her head/wrist/ankle cuffs. Use green for the iris of her eyes.
