Today, drawing123.com will guide you how to easily draw a saw with simple steps.
Let’s get started!

Step 1: Draw the Handle Outline
Draw the outer shield-like shape for the saw handle with smooth corners and a slight indentation at the bottom right.

Step 2: Add the Handhole Opening
Inside the handle outline, draw an elongated, rounded vertical slot for the handgrip.

Step 3: Define the Inner Grip Edge
Add a curved line along the left inner side of the handhole to create a dimensional edge for the grip.

Step 4: Draw the Screws
Add two small circle shapes on the left section of the handle to represent the mounting screws or rivets.

Step 5: Begin the Saw Blade
Extend a long, straight line going up and to the left from the top of the handle, ending with a small downward angled tip.

Step 6: Form the Saw Teeth
Draw a series of sharp, zigzag serrated teeth connecting the tip back down to the lower part of the handle to complete the blade outline.

Step 7: Color the Saw
Color the saw blade in grey, fill the handle with bright green, shade the inner grip contour dark green, and make the two small screws grey with dark center dots.

Step 1: Draw the Handle Base
Draw a shield-like outline for the saw handle with curved top edges and an ergonomic, wavy right side.

Step 2: Start the Top Spine
From the upper left edge of the handle, extend a straight line to the left that angles downward slightly, ending with a short vertical line.

Step 3: Define the Top Spine Strip
Draw a second straight line directly below the spine line to create a narrow horizontal panel along the top edge of the blade.

Step 4: Form the Saw Teeth
Add a continuous series of sharp, jagged zigzag teeth connecting the front edge of the blade back to the bottom of the handle.

Step 5: Add the Screws
Draw two small circular screws on the left face of the handle, complete with diagonal slot lines inside them.

Step 6: Draw the Hand Grip Opening
Inside the handle outline, draw a long, rounded vertical opening for the hand grip, followed by an inner line to give the edge depth.

Step 7: Color the Saw
Color the main body of the blade light grey with a slightly darker grey strip along the top spine. Fill the wooden handle with brown, shade the inner grip contour dark brown, and make the screws grey with dark diagonal slot lines.

Step 1: Draw the Handle Outline
Draw an irregular, slightly rectangular shape with smooth, rounded corners and a wavy left edge to create the main outline of the saw handle.

Step 2: Draw the Hand Grip
Inside the center of the handle outline, draw an upright oval shape to create the hole for the hand grip.

Step 3: Add the Screws
On the right side of the handle, draw two small circles stacked vertically. Add a diagonal line inside each circle to represent the slots of the screws.

Step 4: Outline the Top of the Blade
Starting from the top right edge of the handle, draw a long horizontal line extending to the right. Curve the line downward at the very end to form the blunt tip of the saw blade.

Step 5: Draw the Saw Teeth
Starting from the downward curve you just drew, draw a continuous, scalloped, wavy line connecting back to the bottom right edge of the handle to create friendly, rounded saw teeth.

Step 6: Add the Eyes
In the middle of the saw blade, draw two large circles side-by-side for the eyes. Inside each eye, draw a smaller circle for the pupil, and an even smaller dot inside the pupil for a light highlight.

Step 7: Draw the Mouth
Just below the eyes, draw a wide, curved semi-circle to create a happy, open smile. Add a smaller curved line inside the bottom of the mouth to represent the tongue.

Step 8: Color the Saw
Color the saw handle bright cyan or teal, and fill the saw blade with light gray. Color the two screws dark gray. For the face, leave the outer part of the eyes and the tiny highlight dots white, fill the pupils with black, color the inside of the mouth black, and make the tongue bright red.

Step 1: Draw the Upper Frame
Draw a thick, inverted U-shaped arch with rounded corners and parallel inner and outer outlines to form the main upper frame of the coping saw.

Step 2: Add Bottom Connectors
At the bottom of each side of the arch, draw a small rectangular shape with rounded corners to close off the frame ends.

Step 3: Draw Blade Brackets
On the inside of each bottom connector, add a small horizontal bracket shape with an inner rectangular cutout pointing toward the center.

Step 4: Draw the Saw Blade
Draw a straight horizontal line extending between the two brackets, and add a fine, continuous zigzag pattern along the bottom edge to create the sharp saw teeth.

Step 5: Draw the Tension Screw and Pin
On the far left end of the frame, draw a butterfly-shaped wing nut, and on the right connector, draw a small circle in the center to represent a mounting pin.

Step 6: Draw the Handle
Extending from the right side of the frame, draw a contoured, wooden-style handle with a rounded grip that widens near the end.

Step 7: Color the Saw
Color the main upper arch bright red, fill the wooden handle with warm brown, and shade the saw blade, end connectors, brackets, and wing nut in silver-gray.

Step 1: Draw the Rear Grip Line
Draw a vertical, ergonomic line that curves along the back, smooths around a rounded bottom base, and forms four wavy ridges along the front for a finger-grip handle.

Step 2: Complete the Handle Frame
Extend the top line diagonally upward to the right, curve it down, and draw an inner arm extending downward to complete the closed, pistol-style handle.

Step 3: Draw the Upper Metal Arch
From the upper front of the handle, extend a long, upward-curving arc that bends downward at the far right end to form the top frame of the hacksaw.

Step 4: Draw the Saw Blade
Draw a straight diagonal line extending between the bottom of the handle arm and the right end of the arch, then add a series of sharp, jagged teeth along the bottom edge.

Step 5: Add the Adjustment Screws
Draw a small, rounded knob with vertical line details attached to the lower front base of the handle, and another similar knob on the far right tip of the frame.

Step 6: Add Mounting Pins
Draw three small, double-lined circular pins onto the frame: one near the top joint of the handle, one near the lower handle mount, and one on the right end connector.

Step 7: Color the Hacksaw
Color the main body frame and handle bright yellow-orange, and shade the saw blade, front connector, adjustment knobs, and mounting pins in medium gray.

Step 1: Draw the Rear Handle Profile
Draw a line that goes horizontally left, curves up around a top spur, extends down with an ergonomic curve along the back, and turns right at the bottom edge.

Step 2: Complete the Outer Handle Shape
Connect the bottom-left edge up along a smooth curve to the top-left edge to complete the solid, closed outer handle contour.

Step 3: Draw the Hand Grip Opening
Draw a slanted oval cutout in the middle of the handle to create the inner hand grip space.

Step 4: Add Mounting Screws
Draw two small circular screws stacked vertically on the front section of the handle.

Step 5: Draw the Top Spine Bar
Extend a long, thin horizontal rectangle to the left from the top front edge of the handle to form the stiff back spine of the saw blade.

Step 6: Outline the Vertical Edges
Draw a vertical line downward from the far left tip of the spine, and another short vertical line extending down from the base of the handle.

Step 7: Draw the Saw Teeth
Connect the bottom ends of the two vertical lines with a continuous, wavy zig-zag line along the bottom edge to create the saw blade teeth.

Step 8: Color the Backsaw
Color the main handle bright yellow, fill the two mounting screws with dark gray, and shade the top spine bar and main blade in light silver-gray.

Hopefully, this drawing tutorial on Saw will help you easily create a nice drawing.
